Priestly fraternity

My most recent life has been a period of priestly conflict.  I have a great deal of respect for the priests I lived with, but we agreed about almost nothing.  I used to joke about the fact that the two things Jim and I agreed upon was scotch and Jesus.

This is why, when it happens, that true priestly fraternity, a sharing of similar ideas and common goals, along with the communion in the suffering and the struggles of those working together in a divided church, when this fraternity is experienced, it is remarkably refreshing.  Both in Pittsburgh and in Rome I have had these experiences and it has been wonderful.

Looks like you're on vacation in the mountains a looking a little scruffy!

Nice!

I love you all, and I am glad you have a chance to be refreshed by a meeting of the minds. Fr. Morgan also told me that is what he especially liked about the Sacred Music Colloquium, that he was with like-minded people. I loved it too when I went, because we cared about the same thing, and that is truly exhilarating. But I wish you priests would never wear mufti. Let everyone know who you are, you never know who you might be running into who needs a priest.

In clerics 99% of the time and often criticized for it. This particular day was very hot.

So many young priests! That's rather encouraging for the future. Is that Fr Morgan in the back?
