Te Deum laudamus!

So wonderful to see this, Padre. I certainly pray that this is indeed the first -- of many(!), and also that this experience will beautifully enrich your entire experience of the Sacred Liturgy and your daily offering of the Holy Sacrifice. I assure you of prayers from Australia.

Pax in Maria!

The Novus Ordo Mass is a disgrace. I hope everybody would go back to the Tridentine Mass. Such a a reverence, solemnity, virility, humility, dignity, intricacy and loving!

Now the Novus Ordo priests stand shamelessly outside the sanctuary in the narthex, fully vested immediately before AND immediately after Mass, gladhanding and socializing with folks as they walk in and out -- desacralizing the Mass AND drawing attention to themselves... -- ad-libbing during the Mass, chatting, delivering multiple so-called "homilies" before the readings and after Holy Communion! What a disgrace, what a casual and effete comportment!

And ABOVE ALL, compare the orientation of the Tridentine Mass and priest toward Our Lord in the Tabernacle, or upon the altar, to the disgraceful orientation of the Novus Ordo priest with his BACK to Our Lord in the Tabernacle for the entire Mass.

I hate it.

The Novus Ordo priest's behavior denies the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist by making the whole Mass so casual, sloppy and self-centered.

Please, let's all go back to the Tridentine Mass. Let's take seriously the fact that the Mass is Calvary made present, that Jesus Christ is physically present in the Tabernacle, upon the altar after the consecration, and in the Eucharist.

The Tridentine Mass is so beautiful, and it is how Mass was said in EVERY CATHOLIC CHURCH ON THE PLANET UNTIL 1968.

"Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle."
-- 2 Thessalonians 2:15

Father Keyes,

Heartfelt congratulations from one who met you many years ago in Rome and who benefitted from your kindness in Assisi. May the Lord prosper and strenghten you in your formation in this ancient and beautiful form of the Holy Mass. I can tell you that it has meant very much to me in understanding who a Priest has become by his sacramental configuration to "Christo captiti", a sacrificer and mediator.

I find that this form of the Mass is a perfect embodiment of the Church's perennial understanding of the priesthood and the Mass as distilled in the dogmatic decrees of Trent. No wonder so many who have another project would rather see it go. And it seems they nearly did!

May the Precious Blood of Our Lord and the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady bless and protect you.

Pax et bonum,

Ben

Congratulations, Father! I knew it wouldn't take you long once you were established in that diocese. And I know you have a very nice voice, so I'll be awaiting news of that first High Mass!
